Newbies

(Gloves-Vintage)
So I scooped these up at a warehouse sale that Dressing Room participated in the other night...I love them. Purchased along with a leopard fur backpack & lama fur vest...
Julia & I had gotten in from New York at 4 am the night before so obviously we were lacking sleep as well as sanity...
Lama was a joined purchase which Julia whisked away with her to Austin for the weekend so she will be posting photos soon...it is to die for!
Speaking of New York...we were there buying for fall & 3 big trends coming: fur, feathers, & cut outs...yay.

Dressing Room Goes Wild

(Zebra & Rhino heads, Anthropologie.com)
Our new friends at Dressing Room. Found these in the new Anthropologie catalogue & immediately filled Julia in...10 minutes later they were purchased. We display jewelry on them! They are paper-mache...how cute!

Hell to the Yes.

(The Mega Cat)
Destination for Julia's bachelorette celebration, as well as compelete belligerency. August 19th-22nd & I expect all of you gals to be there! (you know who you are) We will be celebrating in appropriate style as usual...so I need to know everyone's preference of bikini. Choices are Corona, American flag, or John Deere. Please let me know which you think will look best with the airbrushed tshirt you will receive and be required to wear. Thanks loves! Cannot wait! XoXo

Spring Fever

(Photos from Elle's Spring is Believing spread)
Ok, so I must have the silk jacket in photo 1 (Marni)...obviously. The bangles she is wearing are all Alexis Bittar and will be in the Dressing Room soon! The printed silk pants in photo 2 are happening as soon as I locate where to buy online (DKNY). A spectacular spread which everything a girl may need for Sping season!

Lanvin Lusting

(Lanvin Spring 2010 RTW)
Reading Elle last night in my bad and came across these lovelies...Julia and I leave for NY this Sunday and I feel like I will find myself wondering to Bergdorf Goodman to see in person...uh oh!

Vday Suprise

(MilkMaid Butter Dish)
As I was perusing some of my favorite sights looking for...whatever, Brandon told me to pick something I wanted. This is what I chose. I love it...and him. It's always the little things.

Want. Need.

(Club Chair)

(Bamboo Cocktail ottoman, Annie Selke Home)

(Silver Trunk)
All of the above were found during my recent 2 hour love affair with Neiman Marcus online. I want, no need all of these. I am currently in the market for a living room chair and I think this would do just fine. The ottoman is definately necessary for the Dressing Room. The chest would be fantastic anywhere.

Snowed In

(Dinner: lemon pepper chicken and potatoes)

(Me playing in the snow with Mo)

(My street view from balcony)

(Doing dishes in my tiny dishwasher)
Did dishes, played with the dogs in back yard, watched maybe 7 hours of Law&Order, made dinner...great day.

Perfect Pout

(Ashley Olsen)
So I recently aquired a new lipstick...and have since had two girlfriends pick up the shade as well...Imaage Bordeaux.
It is bright red/pink when put on over chapstick...and takes on this dark burgundy if swiped on bare, which has been my recent version of wear. I usually don't do a gloss on top, but Ashley has changed my mind. Gloss to be added from this point forward.
My opinion as of late: red is better darker.

Burberry Baby

(Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010 RTW)
Love the monotone...need the fur.
The show placed a strong focus on the trench...but Christopher Bailey does fur splendidly.

Oh to be a writer...

(Friend Sarah in what looks to be a bathing house, Thailand)

(Again, somewhere amazing & looking gorgeous, Thailand)

So friend Sarah lives a life to envy. She and her hubby and currently traveling through Asia as she writes for a travel magazine about hotels, tourism, etc. We had dinner a few days before they took off and I was so coveting the journey they were about to have! They will be gone 2 months total and already checked off the list are Hong Kong, Macau, Bangkok, Cambodia, Ko Phi Phi, Krabi, etc. The 2 photos above are obviously telling of what a wonderful time they must be having! I can't wait for them to return and tell us about it all in those lovely British accents!

Must read Sarah's books!

Recent Find

(Vintage Chair, Goss Avenue Antiques)
Just picked up this fabulous chair for $65 at Goss Avenue Antiques...new addition to the bedroom. Brandon hates the fabric so I said we would change it...I don't think that is actually going to happen. It is in perfect condition and goes oh so well with our new creamy walls. The antique cream wood is worn to perfection, and the gold rub is just how I would want it. Thank god I don't have to rub it gold myself...hurts my fingers. Love.

Wednesday...Cocktails

(Julia: Coat-vintage, Jeans-JBrand, Shoes-Christian Louboutin...Me-below)

(Top-Willow & Min Young Lee, Jeans-Hudson, Shoes-Calvin Klein)

Ok so this Wednesday was ladies night...El Mundo was 1st choice...however the 2 hour wait for our group of 11 was too much to handle so we opted for The Tequila Factory. I hadn't been there yet so I was extremely excited to see what all the hype was about. The cranberry margarita was all I needed to be convinced that this was the new hot spot. It was delicious. Love to every member of the Wednesday night cocktail crew: Natalie, Frankie, Christy, Sarah T, Julia, Hillary, and Craig...Muah!!

Ugh...

(Oh aren't we just sooo cute?)

(This is what we do on our time off...the usual)

(Just taking in a little fashion.)

Ok so the last post got me going on this one...sorry for the 12 year old obsessive action, but I just think he is precious. Doesn't anyone except me remeber how sweet he was to Joey?...I die. Anyways, Brandon and I are this cute in my mind so I guess I got my own Pacey. :)

I'm Loving...

(Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen)

(Diane Kruger in Jason Wu)

(Meryl Streep in Balenciaga)
Many beautiful people and much great fashion walked the red carpet at the SAG awards this year, but these 3 stood out to me...
A few reasons why:
1. Sandra Bullock looked effortlessly glamorous and that is hard to do. The colors were perfect...black and blue is a favorite combination of mine. The hair swept up allowed the design of the dress to be the focus...and her body looked "dirty good".
2. Diane Kruger is the luckiest woman ever because she goes home to Joshua Jackson...Pacey from Dawson's Creek...my heart stops at the thought. But enough with my personal vendetta against her and her insanely perfect life. Again, the color is to die for on her pale skin. This burnt orange/yellow shade with the dark red lips is lovely.
3. Meryl Streep looked perfect. The style and fit of the dress is absolutely age appropriate, and kudos to her for braving a print, which I happen to love. I have heard most of the fashion critics say they hate this...but it is Meryl? She can do no wrong...
