Wedding Bells...

So I special ordered this into the shop for myself...I a has the rehearsal dinner in mind, but after spending a few moments in it I am reconsidering for the beach party. Just thinking I might want to lounge around on white sofas with my toes in the sand wearing this silk chiffon creation. Thoughts?
I can not believe the wedding is only 5 weeks away & then my sister will be a married woman! Crazy! It is now time to seriously begin discussions regarding outfits...more to come.

Typical Tuesday

Sad to say that I missed this escapade. Yesterday, Julia had some visitors at the store...Christy & Kate. (2 favorites) Christy has been majorly obsessed with Sisters of the Black Moon so they decided to do a little inspired spur of the moment photo shoot! Of course, everything they are wearing is from Dressing Room. It's a bit less dark than the moon sisters' fort, but some color never hurt anyone. Turbans, florals, kaftans, barefooted or boots, uber chunky jewels...very sultry. Love it. We always love photos on the train tracks across from our shop...makes for a good scene. Looking lovely ladies!
I will be there next time!

Margs & Twirls

(Camilla dress)
So I know this is horribly fuzzy & the dress details can't event be seen, but I love it! This Camilla item came in for the sample sale & it is beautiful! So long & flowy...I could not help but twirl! Attended a small gathering at Kelly's to partake in the new margarita machine which was obviously uber fun. Multiple margs led to many twirls...but there's nothing wrong with tequila & dizziness! Had to send the dress back with the others...sadness.

Rompathon: Day 6

(casual missoni-esque at the pool...a Dressing Room purchase. love it.)

(the fabulousness of the Camilla label...also a Dressing Room purchase...this is the romper referenced in day 5 post)

(nighty night)

Of course super classic & chic at the pool in a black suit & silky romper, but none can compare to her choice for the dinner party that night. As said before, Dressing Room is currently housing the spring/summer runway samples of Camilla...& Frankie just had to scoop up a little number for herself...obviously a romper. It is beautiful & amazingly flattering. (Julia & I also sported Camilla to the get together so we were really a sight) Another American Apparel piece for bedtime. Favorite day of them all...

Bahama Bound Baby

Vaca Ready
So I'm off early Derby day for Nassau with my love Brandon & a few of our besties...Julia, Jason, Julie, & Rasta. Julie's Bahama oasis is eager for our arrival I'm sure, as is the daiquiri stand which will be one of the first stops. I am so excited & packing a few of my fave warm weather items did nothing but heighten my anticipation! Neon & tie dye...yes please! Most importantly, the little tiger number hanging...new Camilla caftan we just got into the shop, covered in swarovski crystals. LOVE. I will be having breakfast beach side in my caftan every morning. Gone for a week so ciao for now!

New Digs

(Camilla Fringe Vest)

(Camilla Beaded Top)

And so it starts... Last fall at market Julia & I wrote with a few new Designers & we are so excited because they are beginning to arrive! The first delivery came from Camilla...an Australian label. Actress turned designer Camilla Franks credits her mother's inspiration for the staple kaftan that first made the collection famous, now filling stores worldwide & adorning the bodies of Holloywoods best celebs. Our first order didn't contain any of the kaftans because it is snowing here & we placed them in later deliveries. However, the two peices above are amazing. The fringe vest is my favorite, but the weight of the hand-beaded tank is testimony to the intensity of the every design. Must check out her website to see what else will be hanging on the Dressing Room racks this spring!

Also pick up a copy of Camilla Frank's book, Women of the World Australia...great, inspirational read. Xo
